You've been warned!

When National Bookstore announced that Pierce Brown will come in the 2017 Philippine Readers and Writers Festival, I immediately start reading Red Rising that's been in my life- long TBR List. I truly enjoyed devouring the first book in the trilogy and started the second book, Golden right after. I joined for Facebook Groups, international and local, and 'fangirled' my way through the event.
I even encouraged my local co- Howlers, which made everyone excited, to join me on wearing wolf hats to promote the fandom.
I stalked on Pierce Brown's Instagram to keep tabs on his adventure in the Metro.
I invited fellow Pinoy bookstagrammers to join the bandwagon and fangirls every gory time.
And when the day finally came, I woke up early, 2am, clad in my sneakers, Omnis Vir Lupus shirt and tattered jeans, I marched (well, I rode the bus) to the venue, howler hats in tow.

Fellow Howlers immediately claimed their gears when I arrived at around 4:30am. Some fans actually camped out to secure a lower number signing pass.
Being early paid off for I was number 14th in the line! Yaaas!
When Pierce Brown's Author's Spotlight came, I was so thrilled I couldn't even howl (the host encouraged us as greeting to 'The' Dominus). I was so starstruck that I couldn't even! Ugh.
The talk went on as his did his usual in an event; talk about his book. He was so funny and I'm glad I read the first two books first so I could relate to what he was discussing.
He was asked by the host if the would become character in his Trilogy, what color would he be. Pierced answered jokingly that "[He'd] probably died right away".
Pierce shared that Sevro Au Barca (my favorite character) was inspired from his childhood bestfriend, a guy name Alex Wakeland (he's a celebrity in the Official Red Rising Fan Base: Hic Sunt Leones).

I was so nervous when the time of the signing came. I was worried that I'd be too starstrucked to even utter a 'Hi.' But he was so nice (maybe he notices that I was nervous?) and he started the conversation.
And I asked him a very important question.

You read that right. I stop reading Morning Star (Book 3) after the death of my baby Sevro. But of course, I did not tell that to Pierce.

I also got him to sign my shirt eventhough it's not allowed (ninja moves!).

Pierce gladly accepted my Howler Hat gift!

After the signing, Pierce and his girlfriend Lily went to El Nido for their vacation.
He's back in the States now but we, Howlers Ph, still hopes he comes back again in the Philippines!
And am also excited for the upcoming Red Rising movie!
That would be all, bookies!
AD ASTRA AS ASPERA!
